Don't Let the Net Wet Your Brain

I never thought that using internet will cause an impact on my behavior. Yes frankly ... I never bothered the way I'm being molded by the vast size of useful and not so useful information that is available. I realized this only when I tried to stay away from ORKUT for at least 1 year. More than staying away, the thought of staying away made me more mad, and was back to Orkut with in 1 day. So here I'm, sharing experience of mine ... "Away from Orkut" and about the way we are influenced by the internet.

Orkut or for that matter any socializing network like
Bigadda are just a way to be in touch with friends that are away, or old buddies from school, but these changed the style of socializing, the way we deal with people, the way we speak with the opposite person, everything that is related to inter - human relations, and of course the language, though a dynamic one, is also changing, to say in negative direction. Guys if u stumble upon a person who uses "oh", "k", "wat else" ... quite frequently in his speech then you can be sure that he is a net socializer (no regrets please this is a fact from personal experience and relates to younger generations with a few exceptions, by the way exceptions conforms the rules). The advantage of being behind the screen and speaking to the opposite person is that, it provides no clue of the speaker's mind set unless the listener is smart enough to pick up the mood of the speaker in the words that are being sent across cyber space (guys again I had an experience on this kind, some how I like to share my experience). Darker side of this is obviously misunderstandings and wreckage.

Browsing through the large chunk of information that is frothing everyday seems to be the easiest way to get knowledge ... I accept this without second thought . But what about the authenticity of the information that is thrown into cyber space, who is going to look after such issues ... guys this is cringing me. Knowing nothing is better than having wrong information, isn't?

Though it was one day, I was away from Orkut ... the thoughts floating in my mind made me to come down and say that "
INTERNET has a power to revolutionize the society like the discovery of wheel did once."
